India Willoughby is the first contestant to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother 2018.

She received six nominations from her fellow housemates which meant that she was up for eviction alongside Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell. It was then down to the public to vote for who would stay and who would go, with India becoming the first casualty of the series.

During her eviction interview with presenter Emma Willis, India reflected on her time in the house stating: “I c****d it up really early on. It was like a hurdles race and I hit a big one on the gender question. I should have kept my gob shut.”

It’s safe to say that India had a very turbulent ten days in the house. The 51-year-old, who made history by becoming the UK’s first transgender newsreader, was at the centre of a number of disagreements during her stay.

After initially bonding with her female housemates and opening up about her transition, she was later misgendered on a few occasions by Ann, Rachel and Amanda. She also made controversial comments about the LGBTQ community and supposedly being scared of drag queens.

Despite her comments about drag artists, India did bond with Shane Jenek in the house. Better known by his drag persona Courtney Act, India is now rooting for Shane/Courtney to win.
